TRIANGLE POSE

Instructions:
Begin in a standing position with your feet together. Step your feet apart, turn your right foot so it points to the right and turn your left foot in slightly. Line up your feet so you can draw an imaginary line from the back of your right heel to the arch of your left foot. Raise your arms up to shoulder height with your palms facing down. Turn your head to the right. Keep your arms in place, tilt your upper body to the right and shift your hips to the left. Place your right hand onto your right leg and reach your left arm up keeping your arms in a straight line. Look up towards your left arm.

Come out of the pose by moving back into the starting position, repeat on other side.

 

TREE POSE

 

Instructions:
Begin in a standing position with your feet together. Focus on something in front of you to help keep your balance. Take you weight slightly onto the left leg, bend your right leg and place the sole of the foot on the inside of the standing leg between your ankle and thigh. Bring your palms together in front of your chest.

Come out of the pose by slowly lowering your arms and leg and repeat on other side.

DOWNWARD FACING DOG POSE

Instructions:
Begin on the floor on your hands and knees. Hands underneath your shoulders. Knees underneath your hips. Spread your fingers out wide. Curl your toes under your feet, breathe out and raise your knees off the floor lifting your hips upward and back, straighten your legs stretching your heels towards the floor. Look back between your feet.


Come out of the pose by gently bringing your knees back down to the floor.

COBRA POSE

 

Instructions:
Lie on your stomach with your legs straight and close together. Hands underneath your shoulders, elbows tucked in close to your chest. Rest your forehead on the floor. Breathe in and slowly lift your head and chest gently arching your upper spine.

Come out of the pose by lowering gently back down to the starting position.

CHILDS POSE

Instructions:
Kneel on the floor and sit back on your heels. Bend forward, lay your upper body on your thighs and rest your forehead on the floor. Place your arms by your sides with your hands by your feet and your palms facing up.

BUTTERFLY POSE

Instructions:
Sit with your legs straight out in front of you, bend your knees, pull your heels in towards you, drop your knees out to the side bringing the soles of your feet together. Hold onto your feet and let your knees relax down to the floor. Keep your back straight.
