Downward dog takes a camel ride
Preschool-aged children got in touch with their inner monkey last week to learn the benefits of yoga.
The children, aged from three to five, were taught by yoga instructor and Magic Monkey Yoga Kids founder Kim McCormick at The Childcare Group, Manly Vale.
Typical yoga moves such as the downward dog were given names with an Egyptian theme such as the pyramid and camel ride to encouraged the children to take part. Ms McCormick said yoga built physical strength, improved mobility and helped develop co-ordination in young people.
