Youngsters'
yoga all fun and games
Kid's
yoga classes are a magical place where children move, pretend
and transform into each yoga pose. Unlike adults who work
at yoga, kids play yoga.
At
children's yoga school Magic Monkey Yoga Kids, you will find
children barking like dogs, hissing like snakes and roaring
like lions, bringing yoga to life.
Founder
Kim McCormick said the classes were creative and interactive
incorporating storytelling, music, songs and props including
balls, hoops, feathers and toys of all sorts.
The
yoga program takes into account the developmental differences
of each age group.
"The
younger children will experience yoga combined with creative
movement and by using their imaginations," she said.
"The older children's maturity is accommodated by having
the classes more robust, while still being interactive and
playful."
Magic
Monkey Yoga Kids holds classes for children aged 3-12 years
at North Balgowlah and Seaforth.
